Question:

I bought a used iPhone from someone and found out that I can’t use it because the iPhone’s IMEI is blocked/barred by my service provider.

How do I change or edit the IMEI to unbar my blacklisted iPhone?

Answer:

Technically, there’s no tool or method available to change your IMEI. Once it’s blocked by your service provider, you won’t be able to use it anymore.

However, this service offers chips replacement which will change the IMEI of your iPhone. Potentially it will allow your iPhone 4 to be used on your network of your choice again.

For UK-based iPhone users, this service will clean your IMEI but only EE, T-Mobile and Orange network are currently supported. There’s also an eBay link which is 100% legit.
